Rain spilling down the front of the house, a downpipe that has stopped gurgling, grass waving from the eaves: we unblock Camberley gutters properly, dig out what has set solid and get the water moving to the drain again.
Not every gutter job is a gentle maintenance visit. Sometimes the system has simply given up: an outlet has sealed over, the swan neck below it is plugged with black sludge, and a whole length of gutter is sitting full of water and rotting leaves. Our gutter clearing in Camberley deals with these failures head-on, cutting out compacted debris, uprooting the plants that have moved in, and reopening every downpipe from the bottom up until it carries water again.
The first pass is made with a powerful vacuum on carbon poles that reach roughly 12 metres, removing the bulk of the loose material without anyone leaning on your guttering. Where the blockage has hardened into a crust, a team member goes up a ladder to break it out by hand, paying particular attention to corners, outlets and box sections. Any guards already fitted are lifted out, clear the gutter they were hiding and clip them back once the run is clean. The job is only finished when water poured in at the top comes out at the bottom.

Camberley’s pine-and-birch landscape is the root of most blockages we see. Gardens around Crawley Hill, Heatherside and the roads near Camberley Heath golf course often have towering conifers that shed needles all year, while oaks and sycamores along older streets in York Town and the town centre add a heavy autumn load. On their own, leaves would mostly wash to an outlet; mixed with needles, they bind into a felt that holds water, rots down and becomes a seedbed.
House types play a part. The many 1970s and 1980s estate homes in Heatherside and Frimley tend to have narrow half-round uPVC, which has little spare capacity, so a modest amount of debris is enough to make them overflow. In Old Dean and Watchetts, post-war houses often have long rear runs above extensions and lean-tos, where blockages build out of sight. The larger Victorian and Edwardian homes on the roads around College Ride and near Sandhurst can have valley gutters and hidden box gutters that fill and then leak straight into the roof space.
Camberley’s damp hollows, from the Blackwater River valley to the stretches near the Basingstoke Canal in Frimley Green and Mytchett, also keep moss thriving on roofs, and that moss eventually lands in the gutter in thick clumps. We clear blocked gutters and downpipes throughout GU15 and GU16, including Frimley, Deepcut, Mytchett, Frimley Green, Old Dean and Heatherside.
A blocked gutter needs clearing in the right order, otherwise debris just gets pushed into the downpipe.
We look at where water has been escaping, which corners are stained and which pipes are silent, so we know which outlets and downpipes are carrying the blockage.
Suction takes the loose top layer off first; after that compacted sludge, roots and nests are removed by hand from a ladder wherever the vacuum alone cannot shift them.
Working upwards from the shoe, we dislodge plugs in the swan neck and bends. Anything beyond the ground into the underground drain is flagged for a drainage specialist.
Water is run along each length to prove the fall works, guards go back in, debris is bagged up and you receive a message with photos if requested.

Clearing callouts tend to follow the same few triggers. You probably need us if:
Late autumn and the weeks after a big storm are our busiest times for clearing in Camberley, so an early message secures a sooner slot.
Clearing a blocked gutter is priced on the work required, and we always agree a fixed figure first. It mainly depends on:
Pictures of the trouble spot, plus a wider view of the house, let us fix an accurate free price, usually the day they arrive.
Usually an outlet or downpipe at that corner has blocked, so water reaches it and has nowhere to go. Narrow estate gutters fill quickly, especially under pine trees. Clearing the outlet and the downpipe below normally fixes it. If a joint has dropped and lost its fall, we can re-align it too.
Plants are removed by hand with their roots, then the compost-like layer they were growing in is vacuumed out. Leaving roots behind just means they grow back next season, so we make sure the channel is bare before moving on.
Usually, yes. Aluminium mesh, foam inserts and brush-style guards all let fine silt and needles through over time, and the gutter underneath quietly fills. We ease them out, empty the channel and clip them back in without bending or splitting them.
Our reach ends where the pipe meets the ground: bends, offsets and swan necks are all cleared. Should the gully keep flooding afterwards, the plug lies in the buried run, and a drain firm with rods or a jetter should be your next phone call, and we will pass on exactly what we noticed.
Yes, we work on apartment blocks and commercial buildings as well as houses. Taller blocks are within range of our 40ft poles, and we are used to liaising with managing agents over access. Send us photos and details of the building for a quote.
Ideally both ends of the autumn. A clear in late autumn after the leaf fall prevents winter overflow and freeze damage. If you are under pines, a spring visit catches the needles that have dropped over winter before summer storms.
